Goodness
Goodness is a virtue that helps improve our lives. It begins with the sweet expectancy of a mother because she provides the necessary things for the baby, who is nurtured, formed and developed in love.
Goodness comes from the father and the mother, their care and the time they take to help their child grow and feel welcome in the core of the family.
Goodness teaches lessons in giving each person what it takes to respond when someone needs a favor, help or friendship.
Goodness becomes food in our daily life when we receive affection from people, a smile and when we share life.
Goodness becomes visible when we avoid selfishness, envy or indifference and welcome our neighbor as part of the family.
Goodness becomes prayer when it is fed with the fountain of truth and finds in God the fountain of love, service and commitment. Christians become virtuous when they look for perfection and their salvation.
Goodness shows before God’s eyes, when we become aware of other’s needs, understanding their pain and suffering in order to help them with dignity and responsibility.
Goodness becomes a path, through the cross of Christ the Redeemer to the joy of sitting at His table as friends and disciples who understand His love, and practice it as the announcement of His kingdom in the world.
Goodness becomes life and it is lived through actions, but comes from God who leads us to live as His children and show His presence in this world in need.
